Wait...ing is a musical dramedy set in Gidarim, a bustling Korean jazz bar on the outskirts of K-Town, during a blustery New York winter. It follows the lives of five immigrants – Sehee, a Korean painter; Tiago, a Guatemalan office worker; Ore, a Nigerian school teacher; Alden, an Armenian second-grader; and Irina, a Kazakh senior – and is narrated by Noul, the owner of Gidarim. The characters all wait for something in their lives. While some choose to wait, others have no option but to wait, and still others come to realize that they have been waiting for something all along. With New Year’s Eve approaching, bringing the pressure to change, each character finds themself asking the same question: should they continue to wait for their wish in life to be fulfilled, or is it time to move on?
